The Next Book...

My next novel takes place on the heels of the Spanish Armada’s failed campaign to invade England in the summer of 1588. Relatively few Spanish soldiers are lost in battle, however on the way home two thirds the entire force is lost in a hurricane off the coast of Ireland. Of the hundreds of men who make it to shore, only a handful escape slaughter by English forces.

This is the tale of one such survivor, a young naval captain, whose only hope to stay alive lies in the hands of two “friends”—an Irish chieftain and an English woman—new acquaintances as unpredictable and dubious as the wild Irish countryside.

This story is based on real events.
